About the Fun House

What is this place?

NextMind is a personal, self-hosted website: plain HTML served by software we run ourselves, on machines we keep ourselves, under a domain we renew annually like responsible adults. No frameworks, no analytics, no dark patterns — just the fun house and its exhibits.

Who lives here?

One operator who enjoys the old web, new hardware, and the smell of a well-ordered rack. The site exists mostly as a front door to the things in the Lab — when a project is ready for company, it gets a page here.

Why the Victorian caricature?

Because a fun house needs one great painting, and this one has everything: a detective on a FRAGILE crate, a howling hound, a bearded sage, and enough candlelight to forgive all our sins. See the front page for the full haunted lineup.
